“We have been members of Sacred Heart School for the past 12 years. We chose Sacred Heart for our children’s education because we have always wanted a strong, Catholic environment in which our kids could learn and grow. The intimate class sizes, rigorous curriculum, and caring staff have been a blessing over the years. The staff’s desire to educate themselves in the best practices and pursue excellence have also helped Sacred Heart remain successful and true to its mission. We have felt welcomed by many and know that this sense of community will continue to sustain us in the years to come.”

I’m a 1990 graduate from SHCS.  My wife and I chose Sacred Heart to provide our son with the same foundation of faith, respect, and education I was provided when attending SHCS.  I attribute much of my success I’ve experienced in my life to the faith, respect, and education foundation I gained at SHCS.  It prepared me for high school, college, my career, and most importantly daily life.  We want our son to experience the same in his life.

Sacred Heart Catholic School offers an educational experience that is hard to find elsewhere, and we choose Sacred Heart because of the comprehensive Catholic education students receive. Catholic teachings are integrated into the classroom and students attend weekly mass.  In addition, the academics are rigorous and the students regularly score in the top 15% on standardized testing.  For our family, SHCS offers the “sweet spot” for a great elementary education combining Catholic values along side an excellent academic program.  We are fortunate to have found Sacred Heart and our children have benefited from all this school has to offer.

We chose to send all our children to Sacred Heart because we liked the way “it felt”- upon our initial visit.  Reflecting on that feeling I believe the sense of common, hard working families enrolling their children in an environment of faith and high standards has been the fruition.

Our family chose Sacred Heart for our son because we were looking for a Catholic environment that combined affordable tuition with a community feel. Not only does Sacred Heart offer this, but it also offers an exciting emphasis on science and mathematics, and instruction in the Catholic faith. We love it!

Quentin, Alumnus (middle school teacher at a local Catholic school)

While attending Sacred Heart, I was privileged enough to have a private education in the Catholic tradition. From kindergarten until eighth grade I was fortunate to have teachers and faculty who created a wonderful academic environment which helped me to learn and created a sense of what it means to have a life filled with faith. Throughout my years at SHS, I was grateful to have teachers around who cared about the success of the students they were teaching and about the people they were going to become. While enriching my life academically, Sacred Heart also offered many opportunities for me to be successful in athletics and other activities. These experiences helped me to become successful academically and socially as I have created lifelong friendships with my fellow SHS classmates. I believe Sacred Heart gave me an incredible elementary and middle school experience and prepared me significantly for higher educational opportunities.

I think Sacred Heart is a great school, because it has a C-stem program, but also offers a healthy supportive community for children and their families to be a part of.

I chose SH for the small class sizes, the small Christian environment as well as the high academic standards.

From our 8th grade students:

“Sacred Heart is a great school to practice your faith and not get put down because of your beliefs.  At Sacred Heart the teachers are great and really try to help you if you’re not understanding something.”

“Something that I like the most about Sacred Heart is being able to express my faith and having the ability to go to church every Wednesday.  I enjoy being able to participate in school plays with my class.  My favorite teachers are Mr. Fimon and Mrs. Hippen.  Mrs. Hippen has taught me a lot of grammar and how to write letters, which will help me out so much in high school.  I also enjoyed going on a Wolf Ridge trip with my whole class because we grew together a class.”

“My favorite thing about SHCS is how much time the older kids spend with the younger grades.  All of the middle school staff has been helpful and caring.  Teachers are involved with their students; they know every student personally.  Teachers at SHCS reach out to their students to make sure they have a good understanding of the subject they are teaching.”
