Taylor, Nanette

I started teaching at Sacred Heart Catholic School in 2021 after teaching in the Milwaukee (WI) Public School District for five years.   I chose first grade because I love this age; the curiosity, the imagination, the silliness, wonderment and big hugs makes it all worthwhile.

My family and I relocated to MN in 2017 from southeast WI when my husband took a job in Minneapolis.   I am the proud mom to three children:  Avry 30, Abigayle 23 and Aaden 17, all of which were born in January.   My two dogs, Auguste (6) and Lily (4) keep the family busy with walks and fetch.  In my down time, I like to run with Auguste, walk/hike with my husband and tend to my business, Life to Art by Nanette.  My first career is as an artist where I’ve been an award winning, self-employed artist painting portraits of landscapes, still life and animals since 2002.
