In honor of our Centennial, we’re taking our annual gala off campus for a very special evening at The Metropolitan in Golden Valley. Join us on Friday, February 5, 2027, as we Rock Through the Century, celebrating 100 years of Sacred Heart with an unforgettable night of music, memories, community, and fun.
From the Roaring ’20s to today’s biggest hits, we’ll celebrate the decades that have shaped the last century. Come dressed in attire inspired by your favorite music era, or simply come ready for a great night!
While the location may be new and the celebration bigger than ever, the heart of the evening remains the same: coming together to support the students, teachers, and mission of Sacred Heart Catholic School.

What is the Gala?
Funds raised help us retain and support our dedicated teachers and staff, provide essential resources for our students, meet important operational needs, and ensure that Sacred Heart remains a strong and vibrant Catholic school for generations to come.

Meet Our Guest MC: Deacon John Rogers ’97
A proud graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic School, Deacon John Rogers, Class of 1997, has fond memories of learning chess in Mrs. Bursey’s English class, serving at the altar, and taking the stage at the 1997 talent show as lead singer of the short-lived garage band Adolescent Impulse. With a history like that, who better to help us Rock Through the Century?
John credits his formation at Sacred Heart with helping prepare him for a career rooted in Catholic education and service. He began his professional career as an English and theology teacher before transitioning to Catholic fundraising and communications with Prenger Solutions Group.
Ordained a deacon in 2023, John now serves at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Saint Paul. He also assists with deacon discernment and ongoing deacon formation at the St. Paul Seminary.
John lives in South Saint Paul with his wife, Sara, and their four children, all of whom attend Catholic schools. Even the family dog has a Catholic connection—Bosco is named after St. John Bosco, the joy-filled patron saint of children and the original team mascot of Sacred Heart!

Meet Our Auctioneer: JD Flynn
We’re excited to welcome JD Flynn as our auctioneer for Rockin’ Through the Century!
JD is a Catholic father of three and a passionate advocate for Catholic education and inclusion. Two of his children have special needs, giving him a deeply personal connection to his work as Director of FIRE Foundation Denver, an organization that helps Catholic schools welcome and serve students with special needs by providing funding, resources, and support.
JD is also Editor-in-Chief of The Pillar, a Catholic journalism project covering the life of the Church, and co-host of the popular Catholic news podcast, The Pillar Podcast.
With his commitment to Catholic education, gift for communication, and lively personality, JD will help keep the energy going as we raise our paddles, support Sacred Heart, and celebrate 100 years of Catholic education.
We’re thrilled to have JD joining us for this once-in-a-century celebration!
