Welcome to Kindergarten 2010-2011.  I am excited to get to know all of you in the next few weeks.

It was great to see so many of you last night at registration.  Next Tuesday is the big day!!  I can't wait to see all of you and your parents at orientation.  The times for orientation are 10-11 and 12:30-1:30.  I wrote the time that you signed up for on the reminder sheet of paper in the red folder!  Please bring all your school supplies to school with you when you come on Tuesday.  We will take a school tour where I will show you where to drop off in the AM and pick up in the PM.  We will also walk around the school and get to know where all the activities will take place.  If you have any questions, please ask. Have a great Labor Day weekend and I will see you on Tuesday in Room 103.

Discipline with Purpose

This year at Sacred Heart Catholic School we will be working on a discipline policy which revolves around the idea of self discipline.  All Sacred Heart Catholic School students will be learning and practicing 15 important skills.  Kindergartners will be learning about and practicing the following "Basic" skills:

Listening

Following Instructions

Asking Questions

Sharing

Social Skills

Throughout the year, check our website for more information regarding each skill.  Kindergartners will mainly be working on the first two skills at the beginning of the year!!

To help us on the road to self-discipline, SHCS has adopted 3 main school rules.
