Students start arriving at school between 7:15  a.m.

Staff is supervising the front steps of school at this time.

Buses drop off students in front of school.  NO PARKING/DROP OFF IN FRONT.

We ask that drop off of students occurs in back of school and students walk to the front or

park on 40 1/2 Ave. N. and drop off your child there.  Safety patrols will be crossing students.

Students come into the building at 7:20 a.m. and we begin all school prayer at 7:25 a.m.

Classes begin at 7:30 a.m.

2:05 p.m. At the end of the day, all bus riders/walkers exit the front doors.

Car riders exit in the back door and we ask parents to park and walk up to pick up your child outside the back of school.

Two staff will be supervising the back parking lot.

If students have not been picked up by 2:15 p.m., we take them to our after school care program.

Changes to student lunch schedule

Research shows that children will eat more of their lunch if they go outside first to play and then sit down to eat lunch.

So our students will go outside first and eat lunch second.

Here is the new schedule.  Parents are welcome at anytime to eat lunch with his/her child.

Simply sign in at the school office and meet your child in the lunchroom.

Accreditation Process-MN Non-Public School Association

Sacred Heart Catholic School strives to be a Christ-centered, Catholic community where students receive a Catholic education and a challenging academic curriculum.  We are currently in the process of renewing our accreditation and we are proud that we have been accredited since 1990.  The staff and various committees are in the process of writing the eight standards that are required for renewal  Our success in achieving this goal is dependent upon a great deal of support from parents.  Recently our parents were asked to complete an online survey regarding our mission statement, communication, education, discipline, etc.  Later this year, we will survey our staff and parishioners. Currently, some of the primary elements of our plan include:

.    rigorous curriculum review and updating

·    integrating technology into the curriculum

·    updating school facilities (included in parish plan)

·    promoting a safe, school environment with a focus on character development

·    furnishing a high quality Catholic educational program at an affordable tuition rate

All information gathered will be shared with our stakeholders.  From the information gathered, we will write a long range strategic plan that focuses on our curriculum to ensure student success!
